Day 8, June 1 2002
Las Vegas, no road miles but plenty of walking.
Sounds dull, but first thing in the day we did laundry - only mention it because of the contrast 30 minutes later when we were on the highest roller coaster in the world at the top of the Stratosphere followed by the 3 g Big Shot ride which was even higher. We moved out of that hotel and on the way to the MGM Grand where we are tonight we stopped at the Hilton and did the Star Trek experience - really good fun. After that we spent the rest of the day visiting pretty much all of the other hotels on the strip. One excellent bit was the 3-D Imax movie about the International Space Station at the Luxor. Feet now killing us, must have walked dozens of miles (didn't get back to the room till 11 pm). The whole place was really crowded, feels like we must have seen everybody on the planet at some point today - and some of them more than once.
