Day 2, May 26 2002
Whitehorse to Dawson Creek, 866 miles, 15 hours total time including stops.
Sunshine all day again, used plenty of factor 45 this time. Roads nearly empty again, everyone coming North instead of going South. Plenty of game today, buffaloes, caribou, 2 types of sheep and deer. All right along the side of the road. About the only thing we didn't see was a grizzly. Only one section of roadworks, but was knee deep in mud so car is brown now not red. Lunch at Muncho Lake, dinner in Fort St. John. Staying at the Ramada in Dawson Creek tonight, nice and cool in the room unlike last night. We're out well out of the mountains now, this is farm country, lots of horse and cattle.
